Organization Achievements

1. KVCDP has been able to make volunteer travel an affordable to enable volunteers make meaningful contributions to the communities they are visiting. Our volunteer programs have a meaningful impact focusing on the social well-being of the communities we serve to, fostering cultural exchange and to expand volunteers skills.

2. KVCDP has been able to support education and literacy projects by sponsoring school going children and vocational trainings for youth for the last nine years. We have been running a nursery school for the last 5 years successfully enrolling the children in local government schools in class one. KVCDP has started a community private school to help local schools which struggle with overcrowded classrooms and encourage quality education. The school is in class two this year of 2018.

3. KVCDP has been able provide safe and clean drinking water and sanitation to the local wagusu vilage. The clean water for wagusu was established to discourage use of lake water and providing a better safer alternative to reduce water borne diseases and encourage hygiene. A community toilet was built to promote WASH. At the moment we are working on a borehole within the school compound to provide a long lasting solution to water problem to the community.

4. As an on-going proram KVCDP has been able to run school feeding program to the OVC's for the last 7 years on two meals a day. This provides both educational and health benefits to the most vulnerable children. There has been an increase in school enrollment rates, reduced absenteeism and also have a positive impact on nutritional status.

all these could not be possible without our partners and volunteers who have played a very vital role in making sure all these projects are successful! 'See Our Partners'
